ALL THE WAY FROM GANDHI TO WASHINGTON SQUARE PARK (October 5th 1996)

Ink, oil pastel and collage on paper, 14 x 11in

In August 1996 I moved to the George Washington Hotel at 23rd Street and Lexington Avenue in New York City from Bismarck, North Dakota. Over the next four months I drew from life on a weekly basis in Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village, tip-toeing into this Brave New World.
