“My drawings and paintings deal with nouns, mostly: People, Places, Things and Ideas. Figurative work, ink on paper or canvas. I’ve written and illustrated a novel. Exhibitions of my paintings and drawings have hung in New York City, North Dakota, Montana, Minnesota and Florida. My work has been published by many of the most prominent newspapers and magazines in America, and recognized by leading industry journals and institutions.

“The Egyptians referred to the craftsmen who carved hieroglyphics into stone as ‘figure writers.’ I read that in a Daniel Boorstin book called THE CREATORS: A History of Heroes of the Imagination. I suppose I’m more or less that, a ‘figure writer,’ when you get right down to it.”
